Fleece Fair The second Saturday of April is the annual "Fleece Fair" in Greencastle, Indiana. Any number of folks from the shop will be going, so chat it up at knit-night & find a ride! There will be over 50 booths with vendors, fiber livestock, demonstrations, classes, and hordes of fiber-addicts like ourselves!
Fiber Folks Illinois Prairie Fiber Folks is an online discussion group for folks in central Illinois to discuss our mutual fiber addictions. You must join the list, all of which is explained on the web. For quicker access, just send email to one of the following:

CUSWG Guild This link takes you to the official site of the Champaign-Urbana Spinners' and Weavers' Guild. The guild has study groups for spinning, for weaving, and for knitting (LKG, for Loosely Knit Group). Several folks are working to set up a hand dyeing study group. Check the site for membership information.
WoolWorks.Org WoolWorks is a site that is devoted to disseminating all sorts of great information about fiber art, including a pattern library and a shop locator
Kickapoo Creek Alpacas Deborah Barone and her husband David run Kickapoo Creek alpacas on a small acreage in Heyworth, Illinois (about 45 minutes from Champaign-Urbana). Deborah offers tours of her herd by special arrangement and has alpaca fiber available for spinning, as well as limited quantities of hand-spun yarns. If you'd like to own your very own alpaca, they can fix you up!
Knitters Knitters is a tried and true friend. If you're interested in enrolling in "Knit-U", an online knitting community, this is place to do it.
Interweave Interweave Knits is another one of those tried-and-true magazines for knitters. Interweave also publishes many fabulous books and other fiber-related magazines and goodies.
INKnitters INKnitters is the International Network of Knitters Magazine, and this periodical includes both hand knitting and machine knitting. The editors are attempting to create a journal that explores knitting from a thinking perspective. In addition to patterns, they have articles that explore various structures and principles of knitting.
Cochenille Do you need software to help you design knitted garments, create stitch patterns, generate sewing patterns? Cochenille has a number of software products that aid in the design process.
